Leonardo Köln relaunches following modernisation
Updated rooms, public areas and meetings facilities set to add a new spark for guests and events
Berlin, 7 April 2026. The Leonardo Köln is welcoming guests again with immediate effect after three months of renovation works. Extensively remodelled rooms and bathrooms, revamped public areas and upgraded conference rooms will all ensure that both business travellers and city break visitors feel equally at ease.
All of the hotel’s 165 rooms have received a facelift and now present harmonious overall picture thanks to a clear design concept, warm earthy colours and high-end materials. The main focus here is very much on comfort and on peace and quiet. The bathrooms too have been fully refurbished. The sense of freshness and refinement that has been created is underlined by clear lines, modern fittings and generously proportioned glass showers. Guests will also be able to enjoy an improved restaurant and an inviting bar. A modern gym will provide the perfect opportunity for an effective workout.
The hotel now offers business travellers and event organisers nine flexible meeting rooms which are able to accommodate up to 190 persons. Featuring new furniture, carpets, and modern technology, the rooms are perfectly suited for conferences, workshops and events of any kind.
A central location and good links to Cologne city centre and to major transport hubs make the Leonardo Hotel Köln an attractive option for business visitors in particular. Cologne’s Trade Fair Centre is only 3 kilometres away and can be reached in a few minutes via the suburban railway network or by car. These renovations form part of a programme of investment in the further development of existing hotels and are also specifically aimed at strengthening the position of Cologne as a location in the company’s own portfolio. The Leonardo Hotels Group operates a total of four hotels in Cologne.
