Falk Bartels has been named General Manager at The Posthouse Berlin
The Posthouse Berlin – Leonardo Limited Edition, which opened on 1 September 2025, has created a new premium segment highlight in the hospitality sector in Berlin. After undergoing extensive modernisation works over recent months, the hotel now combines the historical flair of the former post office building in which it is housed with an individual character and modern levels of comfort. The company was able to secure the services of Falk Bartels as General Manager. “I am looking forward to working with the team to create something truly special in Berlin,” stated Falk Bartels. “This is a venue for people from all over the world and for the inhabitants of Berlin too. The Posthouse Berlin is a place in which to work, relax and seek enjoyment and a base from which the city can be explored.“

Mr. Bartels is an accomplished hotelier who brings over 30 years of experience to the table. In his most recent position as General Manager of the Leonardo Royal Nuremberg, he steered the hotel through the challenges of coronavirus and established it in the top six Leonardo Hotels in the euro zone in terms of sales revenues. Falk Bartels previously held a number of senior roles with employers such as the Mercure Hotel Berlin Checkpoint Charlie, several Novotel hotels, Hilton and the Grand Hyatt Berlin. He achieved particular successes by introducing innovative culinary concepts and by fostering young talent. Cooks from his team reached the final of the “Cook of the Year” competition on two occasions. Mr. Bartels is a keen runner in his spare time and recently completed a half marathon. He also likes to seek inspiration from gourmet food.

The Posthouse Berlin is located at the very heart of the German capital, near Potsdamer Platz and opposite the Tempodrom. 256 elegant rooms and suites, a gym area complete with a sauna, the stylish Post Bar & Restaurant and eight conference rooms all provide attractive facilities for business and leisure travellers alike.

Yvonne op de Hipt is in charge at the NYX Hotel Berlin Köpenick
Yvonne op de Hipt has been managing the Hotel Berlin Köpenick by Leonardo Hotels since December 2023. Under her leadership, the hotel was successfully transformed into the NYX Hotel Berlin Köpenick by Leonardo Hotels, which celebrated its opening in May 2025. Ms. op de Hipt was formerly Operations Manager at the Mövenpick Hotel Berlin and has gathered comprehensive knowledge of the upscale city hotel sector via a series of management roles. Her energy, organisational talent and people skills make her the ideal appointment for the lifestyle concept of NYX Hotels. “What drives me is the contact with our guests and the fulfilling of wishes which our customers themselves don’t know they have.” She is also fired by adrenaline and by creative gastronomy.

The NYX Hotel Berlin Köpenick is located right on the River Dahme and offers 190 rooms, 14 flexible events spaces, the stylish Clash Kitchens & Bar with adjoining terrace and unique views of Köpenick Palace. As part of the lifestyle brand NYX Hotels by Leonardo Hotels, it focuses on extravagant design, a multitude of art elements and the involvement of the local music scene in DJ performances.

Viktor Dähler is heading up the Leonardo Royal Berlin Alexanderplatz
Viktor Dähler is a textbook example of internal development at Leonardo Hotels. In 2014, he joined the Leonardo Royal Berlin Alexanderplatz as a shift leader. After graduating in 2016 from the Leonardo Academy, the company’s own initial and continuing training venue, he became Assistant Front Office Manager before ultimately being promoted to Front Office Manager in 2019. Following the acquisition by Leonardo Hotels in 2020 of what was then the Hotel California, he provided support on the ground to introduce the Leonardo Standards before the hotel reopened as the Leonardo Berlin Ku’Damm. He was appointed Operations Manager there in September 2021. Mr. Dähler’s next career move took him back to where his journey at Leonardo Hotels began.  He has been Manager of the Leonardo Royal Berlin Alexanderplatz  – one of the group’s flagship hotels – since 2024. “What spurs me on? The opportunity to do a bit better every day – for our guests, for the team and for the brand.”  Viktor Dähler’s pathways illustrates the development prospects that are available within the group.

The Leonardo Royal Berlin Alexanderplatz is situated within close vicinity of Alexanderplatz itself and borders on Friedrichshain Park. It provides a stylish capital city retreat by combining historical Art Deco style with a contemporary interior. Eleven conference rooms, a light-flooded gym and sauna area and direct proximity to sights such as the Television Tower and the Museum Island all make the hotel a perfect destination for both business and leisure travellers.

Lucas Clarisse is at the helm of the Leonardo Boutique Paris Opera
The entry of Leonardo Hotels Central Europe into the French market in 2023 also brought a good win in human resources terms. French-born Lucas Clarisse, who was already Director of the Hôtel Prélude Opéra, joined his hotel in making the switch to Leonardo. He is now General Manager at the Leonardo Boutique Paris Opera, where he is able to bring all his well-founded experience to bear. He also has a distinct feel for the Paris market following more than 15 years in the city’s upscale sector. Mr. Clarisse’s professional career has included stints at renowned Parisian hotels such as Le Bristol, Mandarin Oriental and Royal Monceau. These roles have left their mark and have laid the foundations for his stance regarding quality, attention to detail and hospitality at the very highest level. “At these hotels, I learned what it means to exceed expectations rather than merely fulfilling them,” said Lucas Clarisse.   “This attitude has continued to shape all my actions until the present.”

The Leonardo Boutique Paris Opera can be found in the 9th Arrondissement, not far from Opéra Garnier. Its 59 elegantly designed rooms, quiet central location and high-end breakfast offering make it an ideal gateway to all the highlights the city has to offer. Mr. Clarisse went on: “My aim is to blend Parisian flair with the Leonardo spirit.”

Nino Rosenlund has been appointed new Multi Property Manager for Hanover and Wolfsburg
Danish-born Nino Rosenlund joined our team in July 2025 as Multi Property Manager for the four Leonardo Hotels in Hannover and Wolfsburg. Mr. Rosenlund can look back on more than 30 years of experience in the international hotel business and has spent many years at top hotels right across Europe as well as in Asia and the Middle East.

After a period spent at the Radisson Blu Hotel Krakow, he went on to manage the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences Zakopane and the Radisson Blu Hotel Beijing amongst others. Whilst in the latter role, he concentrated on the implementation of modern management systems, on sustainable process optimisation and on achieving a successful positioning in the MICE segment. Nino Rosenlund’s passion for innovative concepts was particularly in evidence during his time at the NYX Hotel Warsaw by Leonardo Hotels, which he transformed into a hub of the local scene by establishing formats such as Silent Rooftop Cinema and daily DJ events.  In his capacity as City General Manager, he was responsible at the same time for the strategic and operational management of both Leonardo Hotels in Warsaw. Under his leadership, a new section containing 178 extra rooms was added to the Leonardo Royal Warsaw in 2024 whilst the hotel remained open.

“What fascinates me about the hospitality sector is its combination of service, variety and direct contact with guests, colleagues and business partners,” Nino Rosenlund explained.

Michael Rosin has been appointed General Manager of the NYX Hotel Erfurt
Leonardo Hotels created a new lifestyle highlight in the heart of Thuringia in July 2025 following the company’s acquisition of the former Radisson Blu Hotel. The NYX Hotel Erfurt by Leonardo Hotels brings urban design, artistic spirit and cosmopolitan flair to one of the city’s highest buildings set in the very heart of its historic old quarter. The company was delighted to recruit Michael Rosin, an Erfurt native, as General Manager.

Mr. Rosin has 35 years in the hotel business under his belt. His career started in 1990 at the prestigious Hotel Erfurter Hof. He went on to hold numerous positions in his home city, including Head of Procurement, Cost Controller, Service Operation Manager, F&B Manager, Revenue Manager and Resident Manager. Michael Rosen has been a Hotel Director since 2016. He boasts a depth of operational know-how, excellent leadership skills and a strong sense of commitment to the region.

“I am looking forward to tackling the new challenges and to securing a successful continuation of the 45-year history of one of Erfurt’s greatest hotels,” he said. His motto is: “There’s no such thing as impossible when it comes to the fulfilment of our guests’ expectations.“

A soft renovation is being carried out at the NYX Hotel Erfurt to bring it up to the NYX Hotel Standard. The hotel will continue to operate as normal during the programme of works. The NYX Hotel Erfurt offers 284 rooms including 31 stylish suites. There is also a restaurant with panoramic views, a bar and a health and beauty spa and gym area on the 17th  floor with a spectacular outlook over the city.
